Gudmundur Ibsen—or Gummi, as most people know him—is a local photographer that has called Seattle home for the past 22 years. Originally from Iceland, he became interested in photography in high school, and that enthusiasm has stayed with him ever since. After a career in the technical world, Gummi began working at the intersection of his passion and skill in photography and video design and production. 

 

In 2010, Gummi and his wife moved to Shanghai, China. The two years spent overseas were rich with experiences and wonderful opportunities for him to explore the unique culture, people, and life through his lens. 

 

Now back in Seattle, Gummi continues his art as an independent videographer and photographer through a variety of media.
